These are the best days of our lives...

Looking at this picture makes me wish I could go back to such carefree days...

...when our biggest worries were Barbie and Ken's wedding, GI Joe's missing arm, and why we had to eat vegetables at dinner again.

My New Year's resolution was influenced by this picture, for 2011 I want to enjoy, relish and preserve every moment, hug, kiss and story that my kids will share with me. Time has already flown by so fast;Ethan is a mature boy on his way to being a teen and has a heart of gold. Piper has the confidence of a Queen and the nurturing instinct of a little mommy!

a poem that touched my heart, about a mothers love for her son



No amount of gold could ever compare, to the gift of love that my son shares.
I've been blind and I couldn't see that all the love I've wanted is right here in front of me.
He gives reason to get through another day.
Maybe it's how he loves me in his special little way.
And when it gets hard for me to sleep at night....
He wraps his little arms around me and says God will make things right!
From sweet gentle touches to his bear hugs and a kiss...
He makes this hell on earth seem more like a peaceful bliss.
That great big kool-aid smile and the twinkle in his eyes....
Every time I look at him it makes me want to cry.
But they're not tears of sorrow; they're tears of pride and joy....
Too know that all the love in heaven is wrapped around my little boy

because she is mine..

my little girl can be sweeter (and badder) oftener than anyone else in the world. she can jitter around, and stomp, and make funny noises that frazzle my nerves yet just when I open your mouth she stands there demure with that special look in her eyes. She is Innocence playing in the mud, Beauty standing on its head, and Motherhood dragging a doll by the foot... I adore her!

Face Painting

The kids got their faces painted by a local lady that is awesome, it took her 4 minutes to paint the dragon on Ethan's face and about 3 minutes to paint "Piper's creation" she will be painting Pipers face up for Halloween and blacking out Ethan's. I can't wait!

miller motor sports park

We took the kids to the sports park, the last BIG event of the year. It was the Supermoto Championship Series part of the big Cycle Fest weekend. Good times and fast cars we sat under the Grandstands "best seats ever"

Zip-a-dee-do-dah

"I can do it myself, I can walk in myself" says Piper to her Daddy on her first day of School...I think it broke his heart that his little girl was turning into such an independent little girl who wanted to prove her Bigness to him and all watching. Daddy gave his little girl a kiss good bye and she was off for her First day of Pre-School. Upon return Piper saw her Daddy ran up to him "Daddy, Daddy" and gave him a BIG hug.. Daddy's heart was FULL again!

Last Week of Summer Fun...

The Kids had a busy weekend from Friday- finishing up school shopping, to Saturday - Family Reunion, A Birthday Party for our Goddaughter, & Fireworks, to Sunday - Hiking up and touring Timpanogos Caves, Picnics, 3 hours at Cabela's, Dinner at the Mayan (Ethan's choice), and hanging out the rest of the night with our good friends house, Finally finishing it all off with a non-stop fun-filled all day half night yup that's right Monday "where the fun is" LAGOON DAY" they forgot to mention in the commercials that it about an hour wait for all rides even kiddie land...oh well here's some pictures from the Hike.

I have a great love for the 4th of July, it's the day we show our love for our great Country and our admiration for our Soldier's who are so unselfish and never fail the good ol' USA those men and women allow us to be FREE and PROUD to wear our RED, WHITE, and BLUE. The fly over always gives me chills and when the flag passes in front of me I have tears in my eyes and my hand over my heart that is filled with pride and love for all of the men and women who are brave enough to serve for our country but most of all for the man standing by my side who I know has more HONOR for our flag who has sacrificed and fought with all his being so our children will be safe and never know WAR on this land. Levi, I love you and everyday is my 4th of July because you are our HERO!

"E" and the Princess are so excited for the summer they gave us their list of all the fun stuff they want to do, here are just few of them: Lagoon, Swim Lessons and Swimming, Zoo, Camping, Timpanogos Caves, Sleep-Out in back yard with friends, trail ride in Sundance (that was a daddy inspired answer), Motor-Vu and of corse DISNEYLAND!

GO!...DERBY...GO!

Dad and "e" had some good'ol father son bonding over a block of pine, sandpaper and carving knives.

The pinewood derby is a racing event for Cub Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America. Cub Scouts, with the help of parents, build their own cars from wood, usually from kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles.


"e" raced his car (3) times...first race he got 2nd place...

second race he got 1st place...

Last race 2nd place again, They are already planning next years model...
